After Nannie passed I stayed home in Fort Smith a lot feeling down. When my best friend, Holly, called me up and asked me if I wanted to come to Tulsa to go to a birthday party for an old friend. Not really wanting to go, I accepted the invitation anyway. Well to my surprise we get to the party and as we are walking to the back, I spotted a handsome man with the prettiest greens eyes talking to a mutual friend. I just knew it in my heart that he was the one for me. Holly notices I was eyeing him, she goes and starts conversation. We talked for awhile and exchanged numbers after learning we both grew up in the same small town. We talked all weekend and then Sunday we shared a long wonderful lunch and a little shopping before I had to go back to Fort Smith.
There was only one catch to this man. He lived in Oklahoma and I lived in Arkansas. After speaking with him everyday all day long via text or call, he decided to make the 2 hour trip to the Fort. We had a wonderful weekend. Weekends turned into weekday trips. We decided to take a weekend trip to Eureka where we got snowed in for 4 days. We fell in love and I moved back to Tulsa.
Now we are getting married!! We are so thankful to God for bringing us together. We couldn’t imagine what life would be like without each other. |
